Mess Committee exists to provide a better dining experience and make life at IIMT a little easy. Food is an integral part of life and we as a committee see to it that the food which reaches the students is of the best quality and hygienic. IIMT boasts of one of the best Mess food across different IIMs and the committee strives to increase the standards every passing year. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. The Mess committee’s sole purpose of existence is to make sure that IIM Trichy fraternity gets good quality and healthy food. 
  2. We govern the proper functioning of the mess.
  3. Acts as a bridge between the vendors and the students. 
  4. The committee always strives for betterment; therefore, we carry out inspection on a regular basis.
  5. Follow guidelines to check and validate vendor on various parameters by stringent evaluation practices.
  6. We perform surprise checks at least twice a week apart from daily monitoring the quality of food.
  7. We have started a campaign to reduce food wastage under which, we have displayed posters in the dining area to create awareness among students, providing everyday update on food wastage in our premises, etc.
  8. We have students in the campus from diverse culture and Mess Committee ensures to celebrate every festival by preparing special dishes for every festival. 
  9. An online feedback form and a feedback register have been kept handy to ensure all complaints are dealt with utmost care. These are constantly evaluated by the committee as well as by the vendor.
  10. We also update the Mess menu on a regular basis, based on student feedback.
  11. We organize monthly feast, where a three-course meal is served and the menu is designed to please the taste buds of the students and give them a joyful break from their daily routine.
  12. We work closely with other clubs and committees to support them during the events (like Nishtha, Dhruva, etc.) organized by them. 
  13. We understand and are more than happy to help any student who has medical situations and are required to follow a strict medical diet.
  14. Any food related issue and mess committee is you one stop solution.

Monthly Feast

Monthly feast is an event that happens every month irrespective of other celebrations that may occur in that particular month. A three-course veg and non-veg meal is served. The menu is designed keeping in mind the dishes students may crave for.
